Can I change FEHB deductions during Open Season as a Postal annuitant to my spouses Federal annuity

I am concerned about the changes to FEHB under Postal Reform. We have family coverage deductions taken out of my OPM annuity based on my service with USPS. Next Open Season can we switch our FEHB to my spouses OPM annuity based on her federal service. She has been covered under my FEHB for 30 years.

Federal retirees have the same open season options as do federal employees. Since your spouse has been covered under your plan for the last 30 years, you should have her submit the SF-2809 election form along with a copy of your SF-2809 showing she has been covered and is eligible to switch the insurance into her name. Here is the link with full information on this topic. Scroll down to “annuitants” https://www.opm.gov/healthcare-insurance/healthcare/plan-information/enroll/#annuitants For open season 2017, retirees are also eligible to change FEHB changes online at FEHB Open Season Online.
