When I have 29 years service and 1 year sick leave can I use it to make 30 for the supplement?

Please see:

The CSRS FERS Handbook states you cannot use your sick leave to meet the minimum service requirement to retire. Here is that link: https://www.opm.gov/retirement-services/publications-forms/csrsfers-handbook/c020.pdf See page 46, Restrictions.

Slightly different question: What if CJS had 30 years of service and MRA and 1 year of sick leave. Would the sick leave apply towards the FERS Supplement calculation of [(40 minus years of service) / 40] ?
