Airmen, guardians and their families should get their Covid-19 and influenza boosters as soon as possible, the Department of the Air Force is urging.
To spur participation, the Air Force and Space Force are authorizing a one-day special pass from commanders for those who get their boosters by Dec. 1.
Civilian employees will be granted four hours’ administrative leave. Civilians who have adverse reactions to the shots would get two days’ extra administrative leave to recover.
The one-day passes would be given based on mission needs. Uniformed recipients of the shots will have to provide documentation that they are inoculated to their commanders. Those who already received the shots would qualify for a retroactive one-day pass.
