Marines Correct HDIP Discrepancy

MarAdmin 317/06 authorizes assaultmen instructors from the School of Infantry East to receive hazardous duty incentive pay (HDIP) of $150 a month. An earlier message had inadvertently authorized HDIP only to instructors from the School of Infantry West, according to officials. To be eligible, Marines must have completed a Captured Enemy Ammunition course, unless they have received the training in the field and are certified by their battalion commander. Furthermore, they must be assigned to such duty as a primary duty by their battalion commander. They are authorized HDIP only for months during which they perform demolition.
