Marines List Retention Bonuses

Enlisted Marines who choose to re-up could be eligible for some extra money for doing so. The service just released the latest Selective Retention Bonus (SRB) and Broken Service Selective Retention Bonus (BSSRB) for fiscal year 2026, which begins Oct. 1 and extends through the following Sept. 30. The service is offering the bonuses with the intent of keeping its best performers in uniform.

“Retaining our most experienced and qualified Marines remains one of the service’s highest priorities. Retention goals are vital for shaping and sustaining the Marine Corps’ enlisted force,” the service announced in an administrative notice (MARADMIN) on the service’s web site, outlining the bonus plan. “Recent efforts put forth by commands and their teams during the [fiscal year 2025] campaign proved successful, achieving historic retention levels. It is imperative the Marine Corps builds upon this success and continues to prioritize retaining our most valuable asset – the best and most talented Marines.”

The list of military occupational specialties (MOS), requirements, and amounts being paid is extensive, and available for viewing in the related MARADMIN. In short, many of the bonuses are available to Marines in aviation infantry, with consideration for rank and years of service.
