Air Force Announces Selections for Strategic Leadership Program

The Air Force Personnel Center has announced the selection of 12 senior civilian leaders for the Air Force Civilian Strategic Leader Program following intense screening and assessment by a nine-member board.

It described the program as a senior corporate career-broadening program designed to develop multi-skilled GS-14 and GS-15 leaders to enable them to navigate through complex environments. The program is an experiential assignment program sending participants outside of their functional area of expertise for up to three years.

CSLP-selects will be vectored into one of three interrelated areas: installation level, with positions such as the deputy director of installation support; headquarters Air Force level, with positions such as congressional liaison representative; and, joint positions such as associate director of information and cyberspace policy, according to the AFPC.
