A series of webcasts begins today related to the federal benefits open season that starts Nov. 14. Additional webcasts will be Nov. 8, 10, 15 and 17, with the topics a general overview, the FEDVIP vision-dental insurance program, the flexible spending account program, the FEHB health insurance program, and the relationship between Medicare and FEHB.
OPM is asking agencies to distribute information about the webcasts to employees either electronically or through posted reminders.
The webcasts should be viewed only with a broadband Internet connection and due to to bandwidth issues, offices should view the webcasts in one central location, OPM said.
The webcasts will be shown from 1:30-2:30 Eastern time on those dates at http://pointers.audiovideoweb.com/stcasx/il83winlive3146/play.asx. For those unable to watch live, they will be archived at www.opm.gov/insure/openseason/videos.asp.
