Management Concepts has scheduled a course for Feb. 16-18,
and subsequent dates throughout 2005, for managers and
supervisors who are responsible for managing a unit and who
want to develop or refine their managerial skills for improved
job performance.
Given in Washington D.C.–and later in Vienna, Va.–“
Management Skills and Techniques,” is designed to teach
participants to manage results through others, assess
personal management skills and developmental needs, select
the appropriate management styles for different purposes,
and create recognition and reward strategies.
To do so, Management Concepts said this intermediate course
relies on self-assessments, case studies, individual and
small-group practical exercises, facilitator presentations,
skill practices, large- and small-group discussions, and
application planning.
The session costs $595. Participants are asked to bring to
the course written documentation of the vision, mission and
goals of their organizations and if available, those relating
to their own divisions and departments. Learn more and register
