Course: Managing Project Managers

The Office of Personnel Management has scheduled a

“specialty” course for Oct. 19 – 21 for executives and

program managers charged with managing project managers

and multiple projects to achieve the strategic objectives

of the organization.


Given at the Western Management Development Center in

Denver, “Managing Project Managers, Specialty Course,”

focuses on portfolio management, strategic project planning

and leadership skills required to support a dynamic and

successful project environment, in order to enable

participants to successfully manage project managers and a

portfolio of projects.


Major topics include creating a healthy project culture as

well as portfolio management, strategic project planning,

financial and risk analysis, reporting and communication

systems. Participants are requested to bring their

portfolio of projects to class in order to gain the most

benefit from in class activities.


The $2,000 fee includes meals, lodging, tuition and course
