The FBI has announced a hiring initiative that it hopes will bring in over 2,100 professional staff positions throughout its field offices and headquarters divisions.
Open vacancies include management and program analysts, administrative personnel, automotive mechanics, quality assurance professionals, fingerprint examiners, training professionals, budget and finance analysts, IT and science professionals, and records management and HR professionals.
The agency said it would invite applicants to attend events where it expects to hire promising candidates on the spot.
The agency will also seek to hire 850 new agents in 2009 from a broad range of educational disciplines and professions, though it noted special needs for foreign language skills in Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Hebrew, and Hindi, as well as in computer science and IT fields, among others.
