GSA Announces Geospatial Software and Services Offerings

GSA has awarded blanket purchase agreements under its SmartBuy program – designed to promote effective software management – to provide geospatial software and services to federal, state, local and tribal governments

The awards are co-branded with the DoD enterprise software initiative program, and GSA said geospatial technology includes three technologies related to mapping features on the surface of the Earth – including global positioning systems, geographical information systems, and remote sensing.

According to GSA, the suite of geospatial software solutions provides computer-aided design, web-based visualization, imagery analysis, geo-coding, national and international road networks, and geospatial analytics and modeling.

It said the awards went to Onix Networking Corporation for Google and CubeWerx software, Imager Software, Inc. for ISC MapDotNet software, Planet Associates Inc. for Planet Infrastructure Relationship Management software and Science Applications International Corporation for SAIC GeoRover software.

The contract is estimated at about $20 million and agencies can begin ordering immediately on the GSA Advantage website, or through GSA’s e-Buy system.
