GSA has announced the award of a five-year task order contract worth up to $29 million to CGI for managed hosting services for GSA’s financial management system.
Under the award terms CGI is to transition GSA’s financial management system to a new platform and reduce the number of physical servers currently used to facilitate financial transaction processing while increasing the capacity to support new billing and accounts receivable functions.
GSA said the award would leverage "virtualization, standardization, and automation" to effectively meet its service level requirements including performance, availability, and resource utilization – as well as meet security, compliance, and financial management policy and standards.
