GSA is seeking ideas from real estate developers on exchanging the Metro Westfederal facility in Baltimore for construction and repair services on other federal facilities.
"These Requests for Information are an innovative approach to GSA’s property disposal process that will allow stakeholders to provide us with input on the possibilities surrounding a piece of property in Baltimore’s central business district," said GSA regional administrator Sara Manzano-Diaz.
With the Social Security Administration set to vacate the building in 2014, GSA hopes submissions will allow it to make informed decisions on how to leverage the 1.1 million square foot structure.
The commercial real estate industry and developers can now submit ideas via the Federal Business Opportunities website www.fbo.gov.
