The government has raised the rate of reimbursement for the use of private transportation on official business, effective January 1, 2004.
The new rates are: 37.5 cents per mile for privately owned vehicles, up from 36 cents; 28.5 cents for use of private motorcycles, up from 27.5 cents, and 99.5 cents for private aircraft, up from 95.5 cents.
