The Office of Management and Budget has released an e-gov report
outlining goals for fiscal 2005 including “acceptable business cases”
for e-gov systems at 75 percent of agencies, portfolio management
according to earned value management at half of agencies–13 of
them, IT systems that are certified and accredited for security at 90
percent of agencies and the elimination of IT skill gaps in 13 federal
agencies.
A section titled “what is coming,” says that e-gov initiatives in the
coming months will move beyond development and implementation
into mature services “supported by services fees.”
