The Office of Personnel Management has conducted a second
session for agency emergency personnel designations in
which 120 specialists from 50 federal agencies participated
in personnel assignment training, and studied communication
transportation issues related to continuity of operations
plans.
It said such plans are to ensure that the government can
function in the face of a natural or manmade emergency,
and that the session highlighted telework as an emergency
solution and agencies were asked to determine how their
work could get done through alternative work locations.
