The Office of Personnel Management discussed career
opportunities in the federal government for minority MBAs
at a conference organized by the National Society of
Hispanic MBAs and the National Black MBA Association,
Washington, D.C., chapter.
“We have a tremendous need for new talent, new energy, and
new creativity to do the work of government in the 21st
Century,” said OPM. “We are looking for go–getters with
fresh ideas who are eager to make a contribution. We need
your skills, now.”
The panel discussion at which OPM spoke focused on unique
career opportunities available to minority MBAs in the
federal government, not–for–profit organizations and
private industry and addressed minority career advancement,
the existence of “glass ceilings,” and workplace diversity
in management positions.
