The Office of Personnel Management has scheduled a course

for Sept. 27 — Oct. 1 for new or potential project managers

with little or no previous training or experience in

project management.

Given at the Western Management Development Center in

Denver, “Project Management Principles, Basic Level,” is

designed to cover the project management discipline for

those wanting to learn the basic principles, tools, and

techniques used in managing projects as well as the role

of the project manager.

Participants practice project management planning in the

context of the “project management body of knowledge”-

which covers key project management terminology and

process descriptions — and examine ways to communicate

project changes and progress to improve project success.
