The Defense Information Systems Agency has approved Blackberry’s multiplatform containerization solution enabling DoD employees to operate iOS and Andriod devices securely.
DISA recently gave Security Technical Implementation Guide approval to Blackberry’s Secure Work Space for iOS® and Android™, managed through BlackBerry® Enterprise Service 10 (BES10), according to a company statement.
BlackBerry says the approval underscores its security capabilities for transferring sensitive data on third-party devices. “With Secure Work Space, BES10 protocols for data-at-rest and data-in-transit are extended to iOS and Android devices, including smartphones and tablets,” protecting data while being transmitted through vulnerable channels, according to the statement:
