The National Nuclear Security Administration recently stood up a new enterprise-wide network connecting its DC headquarters, Albuquerque Site Office, and eight NNSA labs/sites to one another, according to a blog post on CIO.gov
Robert Brese, the Energy Department’s CIO said his office partnered with the NNSA as part of the Administration’s digital government strategy and to optimize the department’s IT environment.
He said the so-called ONE NNSA Network would enable improved communication, collaboration, and information sharing among the geographically disperse Nuclear Security Enterprise, and that the network puts in place infrastructure necessary to implement more sophisticated application hosting capabilities, information sharing opportunities, and shared services that are slated for delivery in future phases of deployment.
