Common Destinations See Some Big Declines

Several of the most common travel destinations will see significant drops in their reimbursement. For example, rates in the Washington, D.C. vicinity will decline by $18-$36 a day, with the peak total reimbursement applying in six months of the year down to $282. In New York City and vicinity, the peak total, applying September through December, will drop from $411 to $340. And in Boston, the peak total, applying in September and October, will drop from $311 to $277. Only two destinations apart from New York will exceed $300 a day total: Vail, Colo., $332 December through February, and Nantucket, Mass., $304 June through September; the former is down from $340 while the latter is up from $283.
