For example, rates in the Washington, D.C. vicinity will decline by $18-$36 a day, with the peak total reimbursement applying in six months of the year down to $282. In New York City and vicinity, the peak total, applying September through December, will drop from $411 to $340. And in Boston, the peak total, applying in September and October, will drop from $311 to $277. Only two destinations apart from New York will exceed $300 a day total: Vail, Colo., $332 December through February, and Nantucket, Mass., $304 June through September; the former is down from $340 while the latter is up from $283.
