The DoD measure also: authorizes compensation for hours spent traveling back from an “administratively uncontrollable event” for wage system employees who are ineligible for overtime pay, an authority that already exists for similarly situated general schedule employees; makes wage system employees eligible for compensatory time off for personal time spent on official travel the same as GS employees; and allows senior level employees the same 90-day annual leave carryover currently authorized for members of the SES and certain other higher-level employees.
