OPM has extended the open season for enrolling in the FEDVIP vision-dental insurance program or for changing coverage through midnight Wednesday Eastern Time due to what it called “technical issues”—in other words, a crash—of the Benefeds.com enrollment site that started Monday, the last day of the federal benefits open season. Enrollments and enrollment changes will have to be made by calling (877) 888-3337. The extension does not apply to the FEHB or FSAFEDS programs, for which the open season closed Monday.
