As expected, the General Services Administration has raised the mileage rate for federal employees using personal vehicles for official travel to 36.5 cents per mile, an increase of 2 cents per mile over the previous rate. The change is effective with all travel occurring on or after Monday (January 21). Meanwhile GSA raised the rate for using a motorcycle to 28 cents per mile and for using a personal airplane to 97.5 cents per mile.
