The Office of Personnel Management will announce late this month several features relating to the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program, whose formal open season begins July 1. Among the announcements to be made will be the rates for the lifetime benefit option. That option was not available during the early enrollment period that ran March 25-May 15; those who signed up during that period only were able to choose the three and five year coverage options, although they will be able to switch to lifetime coverage during the upcoming open season, which will run through December 31.
