The interest paid in the voluntary contribution retirement savings program available to CSRS (but not FERS) employees rises in 2005 to 4.375 percent, up from 3.875 percent in 2004. That rate also applies to required deposits and redeposits into the retirement fund to capture service for which no contributions were taken or for which refunds were received.
