Officials at Fort Hood, Texas, confirmed Jan. 21 that three persons were found dead in a post housing unit. They declined to provide further details pending further investigation and notification of next of kin. A statement posted on the installation’s Web site state, “The bodies of three military dependents, one male adult and two children, were discovered here at approximately 7:15 a.m. Jan. 21 in an on-post residence here.” The statement said that Army criminal investigators are probing the matter, and that there was “no further threat to the community.”
