The Air Force is looking for captains, majors, and lieutenant colonels who wish to serve as attachés in Switzerland, Burma, Venezuela, and other nations. Qualified candidates should have an air operations background and foreign language skills. A background in a specific country is helpful but not necessary. Two duty locations require candidates that are qualified to fly C-12 transport aircraft. All applicants must have taken the Defense Language Aptitude Battery Test. All immediate family members must be U.S. citizens. The tours as senior defense official/defense attaché, air attaché, and assistant air attaché range in length from 18 months to 24 months.
