A recent mistake on Air Force pay stubs is only administrative and will not be reflected in airmen’s actual retired pay or other benefits, say officials at the Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC). The error was caused by a change to the MilPDS computer system in April which inserted incorrect retirement codes into records sent to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, according to the AFPC. The wrong codes did not affect pay. The correct data should be in the September leave-and-earnings statements, according to an AFPC official.
