AF Reserve Tops YTD Recruiting

The Air Force Reserve led all active and reserve components through August in recruiting for the fiscal year that began last Oct. 1. With a goal of 5,593 accessions, the branch reported 7,040. In contrast, the Army Reserve fell short of its goal of 27,320, with 24,114 new accessions. The active Army (62,453 accessions), Army National Guard (45,539 accessions), and Navy Reserve (5,296 accessions) all slightly exceeded projections. The active Navy (36,565 accessions), active Marine Corps (28,128 accessions) Marine Corps Reserve (8,778 accessions), active Air Force (24,335 accessions), and Air National Guard (9,465 accessions) all met their recruiting goals.
