Vincent Viola, the billionaire Wall Street trader and former Army officer, has withdrawn his name from consideration as next secretary of the Army. Viola cited potential difficulties in severing business ties as his primary reason for backing out of the job. Viola is part owner of Eastern Air Lines and the Florida Panthers NHL hockey team.
