The Coast Guard christened the latest Legend-class National Security Cutter, the Midgett, during a Dec. 9 ceremony at Huntington-Ingalls Industries’ Pascagoula, Miss., shipbuilding facility. The eighth ship in its class, Midgett will be home-ported in Seattle, where it will perform national security missions.
