Five days after teaming with a Coast Guard helicopter and C-130 aircraft to intercept and board a go-fast vessel in the western Caribbean Sea, the crew of cutter Legare offloaded in Miami 39 bales of cocaine crews had seized from the boat. The Portsmouth, Va.-based cutter and aircrews from the Jacksonville, Fla.-based Helicopter Interdiction Tactical Squadron and Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento, Calif., chased down the suspicious vessel Feb. 28. A boarding team from Legare boarded the vessel, seized the cargo, and took four people into custody Feb. 28.
