Measure Would Establish WWI Memorials

The House is considering a measure that would establish two memorials to those who served in the armed forces during World War I. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, D-Mo., introduced H.R. 4489 before the House Oversight and Government Reform subcommittee on natural resources April 28. Provisions include re-designation of the Liberty Memorial and National World War I Museum in Kansas City as the National World War I Museum and Memorial, and re-designation of Pershing Park in Washington, D.C., as the National World War I Memorial.
