MOAA Offers Interest-free Scholarship Loans

Nearly 1,300 students will receive up to $4,000 each in interest- free loans from the Military Officers Association of America’s (MOAA), Scholarship Fund for the 2005-2006 school year. MOAA awards the loans annually for up to five years of undergraduate study. Applicants must be children of MOAA members or enlisted service members and be under the age of 24. For applicants who served in a uniformed service before completing college, the maximum age is increased by the number of years served, up to five years. Qualified students with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale are considered for selection based on their scholastic ability, potential, character qualities, participation in extracurricular and community activities, and financial need.
