Mobile-Device Security Plan Implemented

Users of Defense Department-owned mobile devices soon should benefit from a higher level of security. Under a newly proposed program, the Pentagon will move toward a system with which service members and civilian staff would be able to share email, apps, and other functions without fear of compromise. The devices would operate in any situation, including hostile or remote environments, the Pentagon claimed in a Feb. 26 statement. The plan will be phased in gradually.
