The Navy College offices in Region Northwest plans to resume testing for Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES), General Education Development (GED), SAT and ACT testing in its Northwest region on May 1. The decision rescinds a suspension of paper-based tests that went into effect Navy-wide on Feb. 29, following suspicion that results were compromised on four ships and one shore facility. During the suspension, sailors frequently had to travel to nearby installations from other armed services to take the tests they needed to pass for career-advancement opportunities.
