The Navy Exchange Service Command; Commander, Navy Installations Command; and Sprint have teamed to provide high speed Internet and Wi-Fi service in all continental U.S. Visitor’s Quarters by mid-March 2007. This service will be free to all guests staying at the Visitor’s Quarters. Each Visitor’s Quarter also will have “hot spots” to allow connectivity in common areas throughout the building, including day rooms and meeting rooms. Customer service will be available from Sprint 24 hours per day, seven days a week. The system will treat each digital subscriber line (DSL) port as a private network connected to the uplink, protecting users from direct access by other DSL ports. Wireless end-users also will have privacy, using access point isolation, which will prevent other users from connecting with wireless clients on the same access point.
