Naval Education and Training Command is seeking chiefs interested in earning a bachelor’s or master’s degree through the Navy’s Advanced Education Voucher (AEV) program. AEV covers 100 percent of tuition, books and fees up to $20,000 for a bachelor’s degree and $40,000 for a master’s degree. While participating in the program, sailors continue to work full time at their current duty station and earn full pay and benefits. Bachelor’s degrees must be completed within three years, and work on a master’s degree must be completed within two. The AEV selection board will convene in March 2007. The program is limited to chiefs with no more than 17 years time in service (TIS), senior chiefs with no more than 20 years TIS and master chiefs with no more than 22 years TIS. All participants must serve at least one more tour after graduation.
