Nuclear Agreement Reached With Iran

Iran agreed to a deal July 14 that would prevent the country from producing nuclear weapons. The deal prevents Iran from producing highly enriched uranium and weapons-grade plutonium. Iran also agreed not to make any covert attempts to produce fissile material. International inspectors will have access to Iran’s nuclear-program facilities as well. Six countries – the U.S., the United Kingdom, France, China, Russia and Germany – are involved with the agreement with Iran, as is the other nations in the European Union.
