Senator’s War College Degree Revoked

The U.S. Army War College has revoked the master’s degree that had been awarded to Sen. John Walsh, D-Mont., after learning that he plagiarized portions of a research paper. The Carlisle, Pa.-based school yanked the degree after an internal investigation by a board substantiated the allegations. “The board found that then-Colonel Walsh did commit the offense of plagiarism and thus his master’s degree and status as a graduate of the U.S. Army War College should be revoked,” spokeswoman Carol Kerr said. Walsh was up for reelection, but dropped out of the race when the plagiarism allegations were made public.
