Senior Navy Enlisteds To Face Service-Record Reviews

The Navy is reviewing the service records of all senior enlisted sailors, to determine who can stay in and who must separate. The Senior Enlisted Continuation Board (SECB) for fiscal year 2015 (Oct 1, 2014-Sept. 30, 2015) will convene Oct. 27 at the Navy Personnel Command headquarters in Millington, Tenn. They will consider the records of all active duty and full-time-support chief, senior chief and master chief petty officers with at least 19 years of service as of Feb. 28, 2014, and three years’ time in rate as of June 30, 2014, and all selected Reserve and Voluntary Training Unit sailors in those grades with at least 20 years’ qualifying service as well. Sailors not selected for continuation must retire or transfer to the fleet reserve by Aug. 31, 2015, unless they get a waiver from the Deputy Chief of Naval Personnel.
