Separating Sailors Can Go Army

The Army continues to extend an invitation to stay in uniform for sailors who may be forced to leave the Navy. Under the Blue-to-Green program, the Army will allow sailors in pay grades E-1 through E-5 to keep their rank. Sailors in Navy ratings comparable to Army military occupational specialties (MOS) can transfer to the Army after completing basic combat training. Some sailors in non-transferrable specialties could be retrained in a new Army MOS. More information is available on the Army’s Blue to Green Web site, http://www.goarmy.com/benefits/additional-incentives/blue-to-green.html.
