Every component of the armed forces achieved or exceeded February recruiting goals, with the Marine Corps leading the way, according to DoD. Following is a breakdown:
* The Army recruited 6,120 active-duty soldiers, 3,599 reservists, and 5,793 National Guard members;
* The Navy recruited 2,947 active-duty sailors and 899 reservists;
* The Air Force recruited 2,023 active-duty airmen, 634 reservists, and 700 Air National Guard members;
* The Marine Corps recruited 1,915 active-duty Marines and 483 reservists, exceeding its monthly goal by 37 percent.
