Spicer: Bilden Still Committed to SecNav Job

Amid reports that yet another nominee for a defense-related cabinet position wants to back out, the White House again stepped in to deny them. Last weekend, murmurings arose that Philip Bilden, President Trump’s choice to succeed Ray Mabus as secretary of the Navy, had second thoughts. “These people would be wrong,” White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said Feb. 20 on his Twitter account. “Just spoke with him [Bilden] and he is 100% committed to being the next SecNav pending Senate confirmation.”
