Three Soldiers Killed in Action, November 4 2016

Three Special Forces soldiers died in combat operations Nov. 4. The Pentagon identified then as: Staff Sgt. Matthew C. Lewellen, 27, of Lawrence, Kan.; Staff Sgt. Kevin J. McEnroe, 30, of Tucson, Ariz.; and Staff Sgt. James F. Moriarty, 27, of Kerrville, Texas. They were attached to the Fort Campbell, Ky.-based 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne).

According to media reports, the three trainers came under fire as they were approaching a gate at King Faisal air base near Al Jafr in Jordan. The incident remains under investigation.
