VA To Allow Certain Religious Symbols

Veterans, families and Department of Veterans Affairs employees now can wear and display certain religious symbols. The department recently updated its related policy. Provisions include:

* Allowing public display of religious content “in appropriate circumstances.”
* Patients and guests can ask for and get religious literature, symbols and texts while being treated at VA facilities and visiting VA chapels.
* VA can accept donations of religious literature and materials, for distribution to patrons who wish to receive them.
