GSA Names IT Providers Under Alliant Contract

GSA has named 62 small businesses to receive awards under the small business portion of its Alliant contract for integrated IT solutions.

The contract provides access to a broad range of management and technical support services, enabling complex IT solutions to be acquired under a pre-competed multiple award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract, according to GSA.

"This contract provides GSA’s customers with easy access to innovative IT solutions from small businesses and is an exceptional vehicle for federal agencies to meet their small business contracting goals," said GSA administrator Lurita Doan.

The small business contract is worth about $15 billion and has a five-year base period with one five-year option.

In August GSA has announced 29 companies that will compete for work under the Alliant acquisition contract. The contract has also has a five-year base with a five-year option and it carries a $50 billion ceiling.

Alliant is a follow-on to the ANSWER and Millennia contracts, and supports fixed price, cost, time and material and labor hour contract types, is for use by both federal and DoD agencies and can support regional as well as global IT requirements, according to a GSA overview.
