In its last action under the Trump administration, OPM released partial results of the 2020 Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey showing what it called “heartening” results overall.
That included continued gains in measures of job satisfaction, organizational satisfaction, pay satisfaction and willingness of employees to recommend their organization as a place to work, it said.
In addition to long-running questions the 2020 version added questions that produced results including, according to OPM: over three quarters indicated their senior leaders provided effective communications about the pandemic while 85 percent said their supervisor supported their efforts to stay healthy and safe.
Past surveys have consistently shown that employee views grow more negative with each higher level of supervision.
Fuller details are to be announced in the spring; administration of the survey was delayed several months due to the pandemic, with the release of results also delayed.
