Lieutenant colonels who serve in the Air Force’s chaplain and Medical Services Corps (MSC) no longer have to fear the selective early-retirement board (SERB) axe that looms before them. Enough chaplains and medical service officers accepted early retirement offers to bring the ranks into congressionally mandated limits, the Air Force Personnel Center announced. The SERB still plans to consider records of Line of the Air Force 0-5s. Officers who are selected must retire by no later than next March 1.
